Wait ..... You're Leaving for How Long?!?!

Ummm ..... this could get ugly.

Mrs. Evolving boards a plane tomorrow AM for a 5 day business trip to Florida.  That leaves yours-truly at the mercy of my 2 monkeys, and their little dog.  Basketball, swimming, a birthday party, jazz, piano, school, meals, dr. appt, etc., etc., all left in my spectacularly incompetent hands.  Should look something like this within the first 10 minutes:

Will she return to a well-oiled familial machine, or something from the pages of Lord of the Flies?  It's a coin toss right now.

Thankfully there are no cameras rolling.

  1. On the rare occasions that my wife leaves town, I barely survive - I eat like crap, the house is trashed within an hour, and I usually lose my keys at least twice. Good thing I don't have kids to look after too! Good luck!

  7. Definitely best to have the busy schedule and moving non-stop...if you were hanging out at home all day my money would be on illustration A.

I'm doing the same thing to my hubby next week...

Just remember to have fun! Kids don't care if the house is clean...and really mom doesn't care either as long as everything is still standing when she gets back! :) Oh and no guilt trip when she returns about how crazy or hard or being voted off the island while she was gone...let her enjoy her time away... :)

And you really think you'll get 2 days of running in this weekend????

    ok...i'm done...

  14. I like how you say "their" dog. Don't kick the dog :-) I think you should take them to your local dive bar, card room, and pool hall. There should be plenty of people their who can help watch the kids.

  15. I always like my husband to get a taste of what I go through every day. He can't wait to go back to work! But good for you for helping out! That's the sign of a true man!
